Kris Kohls

Kitu Kohls is an American female recording artist from Bakersfield California. Her debut single "It's the Way" is produced and written by Kris Kohls. Kitu's musical influences have helped shape her dynamic voice into a sound and style that brings the traditional 80's genre to the forefront fusing the original essence of Rock with subtle Metal undertones. Her influences are Pat Benatar, Sheila E., The Cranberries, Tina Marie, Tracy Bonham, Annie Lennox, Crosby Stills and Nash, Janis Joplin and many more. Kitu's sound is Pat Benatar meets Ozzy.

Kitu's musical background started when she was 11 years old. Classically trained in music theory since age 11, she studied flute, saxophone and drums. She performed in various girl groups however because of the unstable music industry, decided to hang it up. Upon entering the United States Air Force she performed with the United States Air Force Drum and Bugle Corp. Her voice is no stranger to classical training, having studied voice, dance and theatre it was apparent that she could not avoid being discovered as one of America's next prominent female artist.
